Reading at Home

Reading at home as well as at school is the key to reading success. Students in KS3 are given bookmarks which need to be signed by a parent or guardian to show that they have been reading as part of their literacy homework. Life can be very busy and demanding, but parents and other family members taking an interest in what a child is reading and discussing what they read themselves gives vital support.

Reading is a very personal thing, but below are some links to websites providing information and advice about current children’s literature.
