General Entry Requirements

Current entry criteria for Level 3 qualifications are based on an average points score (APS) the requirements for each course in 2023 are here. This will be updated by the end of the first half term. Most subjects have specific entry criteria above grade 4.

We ask all applicants to attend a meeting to discuss their intended pathway and career destination. This is not part of the admissions process but is suggested in order to ensure that students accepted into the Sixth Form can be placed on appropriate pathways where they are likely to succeed.

Alongside our current Year 11 students we also accept applications from students wishing to transfer from other schools.  Academic entry requirements are the same for both internal and external places.

My two years in Sixth Form were some of the most academically rewarding experiences of my career. The wealth of knowledge in the science department inspired me to pursue a career in the field. I am working at GSK in a 5-year chemistry degree apprenticeship programme.
