Dear Parent/Carer,
RE: PathFinder Day – Hertfordshire University – 20th January 2022
Your child is invited to attend the Pathfinder Day at The University of Hertfordshire (DeHavilland Campus) on Thursday 20th January 2022. The main focus of the day is for students to experience the benefits of going to University, to get an insight to student life, by having a tour of the campus and experiencing a taster lecture. The day is about students experiencing what University is about so they can begin to decide if this is something they may like to do in the future.
The students must:
bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks
wear school uniform
bring a pencil case
The students will be taken to and from the venue together by Coach. We will leave school at 8.45am and will return to school at approximately 2:45pm. This event is free of charge to the students. Students must arrive by 8.30am to register prior to departure.
Please can you complete the online form, by Thursday 2nd December 2021, to confirm if you child would like to attend this trip.
Travel/Medical Care
If you know your child suffers from travel sickness, may we ask you to purchase and supply appropriate medication before departure – it is imperative to indicate any medical details on the online form.
Behaviour
Please note that we are proud to be able to say that the conduct of our students on trips is always of a high standard and we are sure that this will be upheld on this visit too. As representatives of the academy, students are expected to adhere to our code of conduct at all times and if any behaviour is deemed inappropriate during the trip, we will appreciate your support in dealing with the matter as appropriate.
We have been able to reserve 50 places for this trip. Therefore, if interest in the excursion exceeds the amount of students we are able to take, students will be chosen according to students' positive attitude to learning. Therefore, it is very important that the online reply is completed by Thursday 2nd December 2021.
